1st Weekday Retreat by Ma Chérie
In an effort to practice wellness and spread the message among the community, Ma Chérie Wellness Concept Stores organized the 1st Weekday Retreat Event that took place on September 29th at the amazing Margi Farm. This Bamford signature wellness event had been carefully planned to offer a 360o assimilation of what wellness living could entail by embracing nature and navigating through mindful experiences that enhance mental and physical health. On top of that, this event had a charity cause since part of the ticket has been donated to Desmos, a non-profit organisation that is acting as an intermediary between charity donors and donees. “Desmos for Schools” is the program that our team chose to financially support through our event, and is developed to ensure that young students, as well as tutors, are provided with the necessary tools to maximize the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process.
…and the event begins…
After welcoming our guests, offering morning treats and enjoying the wonderful, sunny weather, we moved on with the activities. There were four different groups rotating among the following wellness workshops:
-Outdoor Yoga Class with signature Varley mats under the trees by Christina Exarchou and Mitsimotto, while listening to the hand drum music by Evangelos Aik.
-Outdoor Face Yoga Class by Areti Kafantari’s Team to stimulate face muscles with a non-invasive approach
-Outdoor Pottery Class by Nicoletta Savvidou to connect body and mind while working with the healing medium of clay
-Outdoor Natural Skincare Class by Alkistis Venetopoulou to learn about clay, herbs and skin-care tips. During this workshop, participants were given the opportunity to make and keep their own face-masks.
During the breaks, participants had the opportunity to rest, enjoy an on-sight hand and arm massage, and browse through a curated selection of our products at the Ma Chérie corner. By the end of the activities, the Margi Farm Team had prepared a delicious, healthy lunch with fresh ingredients and products that are cultivated there. As a goodbye gift, guests received an organic Goodie Tote Bag filled with a wide selection of skincare products from our favorite brands, such as Bamford, Augustinus Bader, Codage and Alchemia soaps.
Participants were all extremely excited for this unique wellness experience, since they felt connected to the sights, sounds and smells of nature, and truly embodied a mindful way of life.
